While the sharp rise in competition and the knock on effect on prices is largely positive news for sellers, it does raise serious concerns about the reality of getting on the property ladder for Australians.
By increasing the property price caps in Brisbane to $1 million, properties once considered entry-level are beginning to creep significantly out of reach for those who do not yet have equity to leverage for their purchase.
Unsurprisingly, we are noticing incredibly high demand and fierce competition for properties below the $1 million mark. This sector of the market doesn’t tend to slow down massively as we head into the holiday season, so if selling has been on your mind, I strongly urge you to make the most of this momentum.
We are very aware that the current market is incredibly stressful to navigate, especially if you are desperate to secure your first home. If you, or someone you know is at the beginning of this significant milestone, I cannot stress enough how important it is to speak to a mortgage broker to understand what opportunities and limitations exist. Please reach out at any time if you’d like our recommendations so you can start looking for your first property with confidence.

Unit 77 in the Mactaggarts Woolstore is a fantastic property which would be great as a first home, low-maintenance inner-city residence or downsizing opportunity. With a rare, square floor plan and a quiet position on the side of the building, this apartment is not to be missed. If you’d like to schedule a private inspection, please reach out at any time – we’d love to show you through!

In the Saratoga Woolstore, Unit 207 too is a brilliant lock-up and leave home on the front of the building. If you have not yet had a chance to take a look, we’ll be there on Saturday at 10.30 AM.

On the top floor of the Saratoga Woolstore, Unit 347 has just sold for $1,400,000. We’re thrilled to announce this result for the building and we have no doubt the buyer will love living here!

Perched high above Newstead, capturing sprawling views across the Gasometer and Waterfront Park toward Hamilton Hill and the river, Unit 1306 is a home in the Gasworks Residences designed by Tom Dooley. Shortly before taking the property to market, a buyer secured this apartment following a pre-market viewing for $1,900,000. If that isn’t proof that we make the most of every moment in the lead up to a campaign launch, I don’t know what is.

I’m pleased to announce that Unit 35 in the Teneriffe Village Woolstore sold off-market for $1,775,000. I have no doubt the buyer will love living in this spacious apartment overlooking quiet Chermside Street – we can’t wait to see what they make of this fantastic apartment!

Last, but certainly not least, Unit 76 in the Mactaggarts Woolstore sold for $930,000. On the front corner of the building, with views across the lush gardens towards the river, this is a gorgeous property and I have no doubt our buyer will love living here!

9/133 Moray Street will be launching in the middle of November, but if you’d like to take a first look at this New Farm apartment, we’ll be there on Saturday at 11.20 AM. In a quiet pocket, just steps from the River Walk, this one is not to be missed.
Preparations are also underway for the launch of two more exciting properties – for a sneak peak of what is in store, head to our BUY page!
