FROM DAY ONE TO YEAR ONE

They say the days are long but the years are short. On the eve of our business’s first birthday, this sentence truly hits home.

This time last year, I was ruminating one of the biggest professional and personal decisions of my life. On the first of August 2024, a significant chapter of my career came to a rather abrupt end and overnight, the pipeline dream of owning my own real estate agency turned into a rather sudden reality.

It feels like just yesterday, my team sat at my dining room table, shell-shocked, yet calm, confident and excited for what might lie ahead. Tomorrow marks Percival Property Group’s first birthday and after work, we’ll be gathering around that exact same table, a little older, a little wiser and profoundly proud of everything we’ve achieved in our first year in business, with a new team photo (and perhaps a couple more greys) to boot.

Those raising children say the days are long but the years are short. On the eve of our business’s first birthday, this sentence truly hits home. The thrill of the unknown, the complete overwhelm, the smallest wins, the immense responsibility and the unparalleled sense of achievement that came with navigating the first twelve months of PPG have been an extraordinary rollercoaster.

It takes a village, and I have never experienced more people rally around me than during the early days of PPG. My team banded together as we figured out how to run an entire agency, industry friends and colleagues offered support, advice and encouragement and most importantly, you chose to place your trust in us, as we stepped out into the – for the most part – unknown.

As our first trip around the sun as Percival Property Group concludes, I thank each and every one of you who supported and believed in our small team and big ambitions. It’s been a tremendous first year and we can’t wait to celebrate many more wins with you!

8/75 Harcourt Street, New Farm

On that note, Wednesday night would have been a cracking evening to call an auction at 8/75 Harcourt Street but alas, an offer secured this apartment for $830,000 before our auctioneer could whip out the gavel.

709 Webster Road, Chermside

If you live for the thrill of fast bidding, we’ll see you next Thursday at 709 Webster Road, Chermside for the opportunity to secure a whopping 1,819 SQM block with excellent redevelopment potential. We’ll be there on Saturday at 12.50 PM if you’d like to take a look.

347/50 Macquarie Street, Teneriffe

Over the past twelve months, I’ve really come to appreciate the convenience of having an office on Macquarie Street, in particular when we hold open homes in the Saratoga Woolstore.

Unit 347, on the top floor of the building, is just a few paces away and a brilliant opportunity to secure a property with gorgeous river views. I hope you’ll join us for the first open home this Saturday at 9.45 AM.

203/50 Macquarie Street, Teneriffe

I’m a black coffee drinker, but if you feel so inclined, you’ll be in the perfect position to duck across to Kin and grab their brand new monthly Matcha special before you double back to the Saratoga Woolstore to take a look at 203/50 Macquarie Street at 10.55 AM!

80/53 Vernon Terrace, Teneriffe

Next on our agenda is 80/53 Vernon Terrace, a spectacularly renovated Mactaggarts Woolstore apartment. If European chic is your vibe, you won’t be able to look past the herringbone floors, wainscoting and high-end finishes. I can’t wait to launch this property next week! We’ll be there at 11.35 AM if you’re keen for an exclusive preview.

Coincidentally, Saturday marks the opening of Winnifred’s – Brisbane’s newest champagne temple. You’d be hard pressed to find a better spot to pop a celebratory bottle, but after an all-consuming 52 weeks, I’m looking forward to indulging in an early night and a movie I’ll give up on half-way through. If you head to Arthur Street for some bubbles, I’d love to hear your thoughts on this new arrival to Brisbane’s dining scene!

Ben
