Just on cue for the spookiest day of the year, Brisbane weather is putting on a show, or rather, a storm. After last Sunday’s BoM radar debacle, we at least got a fair warning this week. Hopefully the forecasted wild weather tonight holds off until the little trick or treater’s baskets are full!
You best believe that I had to reason with Lou and Georgie that ghoulish decor from Bunnings and Kmart was not to be charged to the business card, and quite frankly, I’m surprised there were no requests for a team pumpkin carving session this afternoon. They had to resort to driving around New Farm to get their fix of cobwebs and skeletons – some houses have really put Santa Claus to shame, so if you have a spare moment, I highly recommend doing a drive by before zombies give way to Santa and Rudolph!
The only one who committed to the Halloween spirit today was Shelby, who showed up to work wearing a candy corn themed bandana. Shout out to Dog Haus Grooming on Brunswick Street who clipped her claws (a task we have to outsource so she doesn’t scream bloody murder at home) and sent her home with seasonal accessories!

Speaking of dogs, our team is so obsessed with them it only made sense to give the canines of 4005 a moment to shine in our 2026 Woolstore Report. If you feel so inclined, we would love to share your furry friend(s) in our next edition – follow THIS LINK to submit their entry! We can’t wait to read them!
On a (slightly) more serious note, stock levels across inner-city Brisbane are rather spooky at the moment. We’ve hit the time of the year where buyers are rearing and ready to go, but many sellers are sitting on their hands, or property rather, mulling over whether they should commit to a campaign or hold off until next year to sell.
There are seven Saturdays of open homes left this year, not including tomorrow. A typical campaign runs for about four weeks, give or take. You do the math. While that leaves us with plenty of time to get a full campaign underway, rest assured that even if you opt for an early 2026 campaign launch, the time between now and Christmas will not be wasted.
As the year nears its end, many work loads tend to dwindle and finishes creep a little earlier (depending on your industry of course!). It really is the perfect opportunity to pop into a pre-market viewing during lunch or wrap up the work day early to get to an inspection. Long story short, until I’m peeling prawns by my sister’s pool on Christmas Day, I’m only a phone call away if you’d like to hash out a plan for your property.

On Saturday, November 22, we’ll be taking 72/110 Macquarie Street to auction on-site at 2.30 PM. I’m looking forward to working with Tom Lyne on this campaign and I hope we’ll see you there when this impressive top floor residence goes under the hammer!
Case in point, November is shaping up to be very exciting; from one-bedroom apartments to direct riverfront residences (honestly, run, don’t walk), a fresh set of keys might just be waiting for you under the Christmas tree this year. If you’re curious about the opportunities you could add to your wishlist, our BUY page is always a good place to start.

Mercantile Dalgety place is a notoriously tightly held riverfront complex, particularly properties with uninterrupted river views. If your ears immediately perked up, I’ll do you one better – well, two actually.
We can take you through a third floor apartment with views across the rooftops toward Hawthorne and Bulimba upon request, and we’re days away from launching a fully renovated apartment with direct river access. These units in particular are as rare as hen’s teeth, so I think it’s safe to say Christmas might come early for the lucky buyer.
On that note, I’ll leave you to enjoy some pre-halloween lollies – hopefully your office has stocked up on the Coles specials this week. Why do they always taste better in the mini packets?
Talk soon,
Ben
